What I Have Not

We will, one day, fall together to hold one another
at a level well beyond skin deep,
we will fall together beautifully
like lovely pieces of broken poetry
falling together like particles from Eden.
We will revive each other with sensual caresses,
peeling hot, languid skin.  Licking our primal scars,
the insanity tastes vaguely of vanilla and arsenic:
we will pick my childhood scabs like ditch violets.
"Bleed girl," you will demand and I will flow for you
like a drugged lover
shucking off the bone
my body and my mind ache for you to bleed me dry beautifully
You have the power to breathe life into my soul
In your arms I will be suspended in moments of blissful time
I will release as you lay you head down
against my exposed soft tissue
and bring your eyes to meet mine
gazes locked
with a gentle intensity
which will allow me to toss away
what I always carry with me
insecurity and a
journal of self-revelation.
Your truth, your love, your trust,
will encourage me to reveal everything
I am and everything I am not
to you one day
because you will love me wholly…
for who I am scars and all…
One day I shall have with you
what I have not…YOU
