Commissions

Please contact me to discuss your interest in a commission. I am only able to accept a limited number, generally between 5-10 commissions per year, so please plan ahead to avoid disappointment. Any commission desired for Christmas delivery should be ordered by early October.

One of the most important items needed for a successful commissioned work of art is a set of good photographs. The photos must not be copyrighted or permission to use them must be obtained. I uses these pictures to capture conformation, color, size, expression, personality, and pose in her painting. Photos taken in sunlight are the best for providing detail and coloration.

You may supply the photos, have them taken, or request me to take them. If I take the photos, I will require consideration for my time and travel expenses. I do not limit my art strictly to equine and I do paint other animals, people, places, architecture, and so much more. Don't hesitate to ask!

You are more than welcome to give me a general idea of what you are looking for and then let my imagination and creativity run free to create your painting.

After agreeing upon what you want, I will go to work. When the painting is nearly complete I will send you a photograph on the internet or through the mail for your review. When you agree on the final details, I will complete your painting and provide a photograph of the work for your approval. Upon your approval I will ship the painting to you.

If after your receipt of the painting you are not delighted, send it back and discuss it with me. I will do whatever I can to make it right for you. If you are not satisfied at this point, return the painting and your money will be refunded minus the one third (for my time). Travel expenses will not be refundable, but you will receive the complete set of the photographs taken, if you hiredme to take them. If you supplied your own photos they will be returned promptly after the completion of the artwork.

Commission prices start at $100.00. One third of this amount is payable up front and is not refunded on returns. The final third is payable within 30 days of receipt of the painting. Consideration for travel time and expenses is payable within 30 days of receipt of the invoice.

Lyndsey will retain all rights to the images she creates, but will work with you if you wish to use the image for commercial or other purposes. Pricing:

All prices below are not firm but only serve as a guideline for commissions completed with simple backgrounds with the subject being the focus. Detailed backgrounds will affect the cost. The artwork shown above are examples of works with simple backgrounds, if you are wishing for a more complex background please contact me for additional pricing.

Please make sure to check out the current promotions I have running! Prices do not include framing or matting, however, if you would like your piece matted and or framed please contact me for a quote.

Again, if you are ordering a commission as a Christmas gift make sure to place your order in early October, and earlier for an oil painting commission as oils take longer to dry.

All Corel Painter/Adobe Photoshop commissions are hand created just like any other piece of artwork done on paper or canvas only these peices are computer generated utilizing a Wacom Drawing Tablet and the programs Corel Painter/Adobe Photoshop and professionally printed on archival museum quality papers and canvas. These are not photo manipulations but real original artworks done on by hand.
