Interested in a commission?
Please contact Lyndsey directly to reserve a spot in the books. You may email her or call her at 860-922-2512 to discuss your interest in a commission. Due to the fact that Lyndsey is a relatively new artist and just in the early stages of beginning a career she is only able to accept a limited number of commissions. Currently she works as a full time educator while she pursues a full time art career. At this time Lyndsey is only accepting graphite, colored pencil, ink, and watercolor commissions. If you are interested in illustration work or other commercial based art please view the illustration page.
**Any commission desired for Christmas delivery should be ordered by early October**
Lyndsey does work from your photographs, in fact, photographs are essential for her in order to capture the personality and expression of your horse or pet, especially if she is unable to meet them in person. The photos must not be copyrighted, unless you were given written permission to use them by the photographer. Again, Lyndsey WILL NOT use photographs taken by a professional photographer, unless you can provide Lyndsey with written permission! Lyndsey will use your photographs to capture color, size, conformation, expression, personality, emotion, and mood! A photo that is taken in bright sunlight is the best for providing detail and coloration!
You may supply your own photos or have them taken or even request that Lyndsey take them. If Lyndsey takes your photographs you will be required to cover time and travel expenses.
You may give Lyndsey a general idea of what you are looking for and then let her imagination and creativity run free to create your commission. Some clients have even provided their own sketches showing how they would like to have their pets drawn and some have actually included pictures of artwork styles and compositions they favor. These things also help Lyndsey address your tastes and wants.
Once you agree on what you want Lyndsey will get right to work. If you request it, Lyndsey will be able to send you "works in progress" pictures via email, so you may see the direction your drawing is taking! You may even want to give feedback and suggestions. Once the final details have been agreed upon and final payments made, she will ship the finished work to you.
If you receive your commission and you are unhappy please return it and discuss it with Lyndsey. She wants to do whatever it will take to make sure you are completely 100% satisfied. If you are still unhappy you may return the commission for a refund. Travel expenses and shipping are not refundable.
Commission prices start at $200.00. Half of this amount is payable up front. the other half is payable at the paintings completion. Consideration for travel time and expenses is payable within thirty days of receipt of invoice.
